possibly a year ago, today

been gone a while

Sorry I've been gone for so long, but I plan to blog a lot more, because: SCHOOL IS OUT!!!!! OH YEAH!!! WHOPEE!!! CHAY-YA!!! Also, I'm so excited because Catherine and her familly come in less than 2 days, and we leave on vacation in pretty much 21 days!!!! It's pretty hot here these days, with temperatures reaching the upper 80's, but luckily, we're probably going to install a fan in our room, finally.

happy april fool's day!

I don't know about you, but my April Fool's Day consisted of me playing pranks and cruel pranks played on me. I played two pranks

1. stealing everything (all the pictures, mirriors, ect) from her locker. (we gave it back)
2. pretending to choke on a grape during lunch.

Both pranks turned out pretty well, but the cruel joke played on me was this:

During math, the teacher said," Guess what everyone! The school board has decided to cancel all the make-up days from the snowdays!"

While everyone is so happy, she says the two little words,"April Fools." And we were sad.

happy pi day!

On Friday, if you all were wondering, it was Pi Day! The explanation is it was 3/14 1:59:26. My math class made an anouncement, and all the classes who knew screamed "Happy Pi Moment" (because it only lasted a second) out in the hallways.

Last Sunday, while we were driving to church, Mom asks me,"do you want to steer?"
I said," sure, why not?" So I steered us down the road. Don't get me wrong, the roads were clear, there were no other cars as far as we could see, and I am going to be able to drive in less that 6 months.(My half-birthday was 2 days ago.) I steered us right in the middle of the lane, and Mom says I'm pretty good at it. Over the past few days I have been just watching the road, trying to kind of learn on my own "driving etiquette".

lots of performances

This week there have been lots of performances:

• the audition for Young Artists
• Young Artists ( pretty much just a recital)
• recitals

Good thing I played the same song for all three events! Sadly, though, Mom and Dad forgot the camera for recitals, and when they brought the video camera to Y.A., it had a dead battery. That is the sad part, but, there's always next year. *sigh*

brrrrrr!!!!!

It's been really cold here, and that means car rides to school. Also, it means the start of a new subject in P.E.: aerobics. It's really fun, especially with all the lights turned off in the gym with a huge projection on a huge screen on the the wall of Richard Simmons and "Sweatin Land". Or "Sweat to the Oldies", or something like that. Next week we're doing pilates with mats, and once or twice I've walked by the gym and there have been 70 step platforms lined up in rows. Last week we did kickboxing, which was really fun, and a good workout. More coming soon!

long time and no posts

Lots of things have happened lately, but pretty much the coolest one was we got a Wii! It is really fun to play and a good workout. It's almost just like playing the game in real life, except in boxing, you might not have a chance of winning at all in the real world.

I decided on getting the Zune mp3 player! And I am very exited and broke. Until last night, when I babysat for six hours. Here is me very happy with my Zune.

$20 away

I'm only $20 away from getting the new ipod nano. I am pretty exited about it, and can't wait. I have done my research- read reviews, ect. The one I want to get is either the blue or red one on the left. And the nice thing is that I earned it all by myself. It's a good feeling. Yep. More to come!

trip to hartman

Last Friday was the 8th grade's trip to hartman, and we got to sign up for what stuff we wanted to do there. My first one that I picked was photography. Why wouldn't I? I got some pretty cool shots, I think...
I also did beach sculpting, and making beaded bookmarks and cool notebook covers. After I got home, 2 hours later it was time to go to NIJO- Northern Iowa Junior Orchestra. That went from 5-7 pm, and then I went straight to the UNIdome to watch the Tiger game with my friends. The Tigers played West and won. I can't remember the finishing scores, but I do remember they won by a landslide. And that was my Friday.

Last week we went apple picking, and there was a really funny retriever named Katie. She really wanted my sandwich.But she settled for an apple after the rejection.

Well, on Thursday I got my 7th mole removed! Oh Joy! Party Time! It still hurts and bleeds! Even though it's Saturday! I don't remember it hurting this much! Wow!
